We have one of the most active and experienced teams in Turkey in relation to privatisations and any type of Government related contracts, having worked on many of the innovative, award-winning, and first-of-a-kind privatization, PPP, build-operate-transfer, and build-operate projects in Turkey.
Our experienced team is equipped to advise on all aspects of privatisation transactions, from structuring and due diligence to financing and closing. We advise international investors, financial advisers and Turkish government agencies on major privatisation projects including for petrochemical, telecommunications, energy, natural gas, refinery, power distribution, port, transport, infrastructure, national lottery, and insurance businesses.
Legal assistance, opinions and project management is also provided to clients for international bids, concessions, defence contracts, public procurements, and tenders.
Akol has market leading experience in the latest Turkish PPP laws and we have successfully completed many of the largest healthcare PPP projects to date, including introduction and successful completion of new financing models. Our team works with sponsors, banks, contractors, and authorities for projects across a diversity of sectors such as roads, bridges, airports, ports, healthcare, and energy and is also experienced in development and financing of projects in various jurisdictions outside Turkey.
