Alaz Eker Ündar has recently joined Akol Law as a Partner and will lead the Banking & Finance practice. He is also a senior member of the Corporate/M&A team. Prior to joining Akol Law, Alaz was a Partner at CMS Türkiye and Head of the Banking & Finance practice group.

Alaz specializes in syndicated financing arrangements, structured domestic and international financing transactions, intra-group financing schemes and complex cross-border restructurings. He also advises on intra-group reorganizations and sophisticated capital structuring transactions. His finance clients have included parties from all sides of a transaction, lenders and borrowers alike, allowing him to appreciate and manage the full risk allocation spectrum of a deal.

His client base has ranged from banks, multilateral financial institutions, corporations, investment funds, financial services providers, export credit agencies and consortiums to public entities and businesses navigating complex Turkish banking and regulatory frameworks.

Within his previous firm, Alaz led the sustainable finance team within the ESG practice, advising on green and sustainability-linked financing structures.
